As I lay by the brook,
I can't help but admire
The simplicity of Life,
of beauty in solace.
Powerful, Her beauty
— passionate Love
and burning Fire
She holds in her loving arms
the entire human race.

As I lay by the brook,
I can't help but smile
At the little things
— flowers and dew drops.
In her arms,
everything that glitters is gold,
everything is worthwhile,
For she is the Almighty,
the insects whisper
— as I listen,
as I eavesdrop.

As I lay by the brook,
I can't help but glance
At the forests and glaciers alike,
home to mankind
As stars glimmer,
she shall spectacularly dance,
Holding us in her arms,
Mother Nature
— so very kind.

As I lay by the brook,
I can't help but be saddened.
Nature as beautiful,
as serene be hurt
by our greedy presence,
By our unjust actions,
lust for power,
our hearts hardened,
Hurting our Mother,
the very essence of our existence.

His words were subtle but there are beauty, pain, and acceptance between his lines. Reading his words once is not enough because each time, it gives a different feeling and a different perspective.

He is an Indian writer who believes that inspiring one's self is essential; that a friend is someone who makes us feel comfortable about ourselves and who's always happy to be there in times of need. He unwinds through sketching, taking photographs, swimming, collecting foreign coins and notes, stamps and feathers.

It is possible to become discouraged about the injustice we see everywhere. But God did not promise us that the world would be humane and just. He gives us the gift of life and allows us to choose the way we will use our limited time on earth. It is an awesome opportunity.
